world of warcraft is by far the most popular massively multiplayer role playing game if not the most popular computer game at the moment. classic warcraft universe. incredible amount of game to play, constantly updated. 15 Max a month. I quit because blizzard made it impossible for me to PvP with friends. bastards...

Hooked on this game for different lengths of time I can admit that the game has a fun spark for the first couple of months. The PvE is fun for a while but becomes way to repetitive and does not at all force the players to work together like a true MMO should. The division between PvE and PvP is also very obvious. In the World of Warcraft there are 2 sets of people, people who Raid and people who PvP and now with the newest updates those who PvP have been seriously screwed over with the inability to make Premades as easily and go in with groups larger than 5, where as raiding is just not as fun in my eyes. I would honestly recommend a different MMO if you are starting up. The only hype is that everyone has been playing for so long and doesn't want to quit, but a lot of the newer MMO's have greater potential.

none of the new mmo's have any potential to tell you the truth. WoW is undoubtedly better than the new games. Warhammer has sh** graphics and bad combat system as well as sh**ty skills and classes. Conan has been proven to just be plain bad as judged by people in the beta. The only game I see competing with WoW in the near future is guild wars 2. Wrath of the lich king should bury GW2 or any of the other new games.
