Wow, what a complete and utter waste of time. This movie was not only bad, but physically upset me. Tom Cruise makes me ill with his performance in this P.O.S.
It follows the familiar story of a Martian Invasion originally written by H.G. Wells, in which the 'little green men' come to take over.
Through out the course of the movie Tom Cruise is trying to escape the city of NY and get to Boston while avoiding the aliens along the way.
The movie is long, drawn out and for the most part boring. There are a few cool parts and some decent CGI but the acting is terrible and that little Dakota Fanning is creepy as hell.
Though the end follows along with that of the book, the human interest aspect tries to pull a happy ending move and it is just disgusting.
