Initial thoughts on Season 4... seems a bit over-dramatized, at least at this point in the show. I guess most TV shows are over the top though. Without spoiling, there's a few things they skipped over really fast, sort of like a "this situation wasn't settled in the last season... more »
I was pumped for this movie; can always make time for a gory slasher flick. Some of the scenes in this movie were incredible, but as a whole, it sort of built up a whole lot of nothing. The ending was extremely dry. If you want a good scare, kill... more »
I was a little disappointed with this album as I'm a huge fan of the band. Their other albums "Pushing the Senses" and "Comfort in Sound" are ridiculously good... this one deviates a little too much for my liking. Silent Cry and Sonorous are good tracks on this album, but... more »
This is an awesome beer from Erding, Germany. Had it on tap at Jacob Wirth in Boston (great restaurant, nice beer selection). Tastes like orange juice almost, with an after-taste that dissipates quickly and keeps you coming back for more. Enjoy this with BBQ steak tips. I was glad I... more »
This is an awesome disc, and so is #5, Los Angeles. Even though Tiesto is getting really popular and trendy, he's still managing to keep it legit and mostly avoiding the sell-out.
I'm definitely not a fan. I've tried it numerous times, and I just can't bare the lickorish/sugary taste. I'd rather drink a cheap plastic bottle of mean vodka over this. The candy taste reminds me of cough medicine which I hate. Amen to people who can pound this like water.
This may be the cheapest stuff on the block, but it's amazing. Don't let the price tag and cheap plastic bottle fool you (unless you're having important people over). You can mix this with anything and feel content. Hell, eat a bowl of cocoa puffs with this. I promise your... more »
Arrrgh, the Stone IPA. Just short of a pirate beer. Picked this up at a local beer & wine shop in my college town. It's for when you want an IPA, but you want to step things up a bit. Flavorful, smooth/not too bitter. I'm dying to get it on... more »
This game rocks, well, the concept. I feel like ever since they moved from 2D to 3D, the graphics and experience has suffered slightly. There's nothing like the 2D, isometric view. Even with this one on max graphics settings, I wasn't really blown away. The multiplayer is awesome on the... more »
This is an awesome album, recommended to me by a friend last night. My favorite track is Beautiful World so far, but I'm still listening and shuffling through. Definitely give this a go. There's been a lack of good music being release in 2008.
This brewery is a hidden gem in Massachusetts, and the traditional pale ale is an outstanding beer. If you're local to Western Mass and haven't tried this, or any of BB's beers, go out and stock up and invite your buddies over. Guaranteed a good time.
I know apple is permitting more flexible pricing the second time around... not sure what AT&T will do for us 1st gen owners/existing subscribers. Since they're already subsidizing the cost of the phone, I doubt they'll give us a price break; but instead the new subscribers. App store sounds amazing,... more »
This movie was bizarre but interesting. I haven't heard too many negatives or discussed it with anyone who hated it, at lesat. I think it was one of Jake Gyllenhaal's better movies. I wouldn't say rush out rent it or buy it, but check it out on a boring week... more »
first thing i do when i hear about a movie is check the trailer, so no different with this one, and i can already tell this movie sucks. i hate it when trailers start off serious, and then cut to some guy making a fool of himself. big turn-off. it... more »
I think this was a reasonably funny movie. Seth Rogen is a riot... "40 Year Old Virgin" did great things for his career, and that movie's success implicitly boosted this movie's visibility and public perception. And Superbad was hilarious. This is one of those movies that just fills the 1.5... more »
Saw this last night... it was "alright". It definitely didn't pack the adventurous punch like the first one. Seems like much of the suspense was forced. The last movie had a slow and continuous build-up, where as this one was up-down, up-down. The car chase scene was great though -... more »
Not that I'm "mister appropriate", uber-conservative or anything, but this would be the first cartoon that's created by Americans and actually makes fun of our own country's president. A few years ago, this type of show would never be allowed on the air. I've only seen the show once and... more »
I totally agree; SVU is the best out of all of these crime fighting shows. I probably catch this one twice a year when channel surfing and the actors will begin to drive you nuts.
I think this is one of those shows with an inherently short lifespan, as in 3 seasons at the absolute maximum. Yes I'm publicly admitting: I found the first season or so entertaining. It was new and a somewhat original take on the life of med students, and an interesting... more »
Vista isn't as bad as all of the negative press portrays it, but it does feel like a step in the wrong direction. With 15+ years of Windows experience under my belt, Vista has me hunting for things that used to be in their respective places. It's counter-productive when it... more »
Yeah, I'm thinking for younger age groups they'd make more money selling more titles, but older age groups are a toss-up: college students with credit cards would be able to expand their game for cheap money, and instantaneously, rather than go out and buy a brand new title.
This is a slick device right here. The new and improved version supports 1080p, iTunes movie rentals, and operates independently without needing a computer nearby. It does 5.1 surround sound via optical out and gives you HDMI & component out for video. I also like how they squeezed the power... more »
