At the time of writing, rankd does not employ any mechanisms for controlling privacy ("Privacy Settings") on the rankd.com website. We hope to add such functionality in the near future. Information We Collect
No personal information is required to visit and browse the rankd.com website. To post and thumb comments, create and rate items, or perform any actions that change the content on the rankd.com website ("Participate"), you must register. Registration requires, at minimum: (i) a username, (ii) a password, (iii) a valid e-mail address for account activation and resetting forgotten passwords, (iv) interpreting an alphanumeric code for spam/automated signup prevention, and (v) acceptance to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy by marking a checkbox. All other information you supply is at your sole discretion. Please note that any information you post on your public profile will be visible to all users of rankd and the general public (and may be indexed by search engines).
As a registered user, should you choose to Participate on the website, rankd will collect your comments, created items, ratings, comment thumbs and related data ("Content") for inclusion into the database in real-time and/or to be processed and published at a later time at the sole discretion of rankd.

rankd is a real-time community of people interacting and speaking freely about a vast array of topics. Some Content on the rankd.com website or available through rankd Services may not be suitable for children under the age of 18. Our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use do not apply to third party sites. Should you choose to follow any links on the rankd.com website or through the rankd Services, you must agree to and abide by the policies set forth by said website. rankd makes every attempt to ensure that your information is kept safe. Please help us by choosing a secure and non-trivial password (mix uppercase and lower case characters; add numbers and symbols). Do not share your password and/or access to your rankd account with anyone. Should a security breach occur and user information obtained by authorized persons or parties, rankd will dutifully notify you of such an event by e-mail or through an announcement on the rankd.com website.
