Pre-ordered and got this on USA release day. This is definitely the best of the Mario Karts. The MK series is prestigious in my opinion, and important to Nintendo's rep. I'll always buy a Nintendo system to play 3 titles: Mario, Zelda, and MK. There's a high risk of screwing a title like this up, but Nintendo definitely succeeds. The graphics are awesome, you can now race with motorcycles, and the tracks are more intricate and challenging. There seems to be much more punishing from the CPU players when you're in 1st place, and CPUs use multiple items at once to attack (lighting, POW box, blue shell). I assumed the wheel that's bundled was going to be lame, but for a $15 piece of plastic, it actually adds a little more of a racing feel. I couldn't get the wifi connection to work, but I'm eager to try it.
This game rules. I played it recently with some friends and it was a lot of fun. The graphics are pretty good, though I feel they could have been better. The sound track rules because its all old Nintendo stuff. The game play is a little hard to get used to at first, its not quite as straight forward as a joy stick. In a way however; this makes it kind of cool it adds a little difficulty to the game and an added touch of skill.
As far as multi-player, that's where Nintendo rules. Greedy ass X-box and Play Station assume you have no "real" friends and want your money for online gaming. This game however allows four people to play, who actually know one another. What a fuckin concept.
Over all I'd defiantly say to snag this one. you won't be disappointed.
