A good movie from start to finish, but Oh my God is it a long one. Damn near three hours long you should make sure you have the time to get yourself engaged to watch a "film".
The movie covers the rise and fall of Frank Lucas played by Denzel Washington, and his heroine trade throughout the nineteen sixties, and early seventies. In opposition to his role is the fast rising straight edge cop who is determined to bring him down played by Russel Crow.
The movie creates an interesting dynamic between the two characters although there is a LOT of back story with both of them.
If you do however; have three hours to kill its a movie that it worth watching and will for most of it keep your interest.
